I’m having an issue getting the trunk on my CX5 to close. The trunk opens with no real issues but when I close it, it gets about 80% closed and then fails. It also has just recently started creaking and making these loud noises upon opening and closing. As stated it works but seems to stop ... If fuses are good, disconnect the battery and depress the brake pedal for 30 seconds to ensure the BCM is completely powered down, then reconnect battery and try again. If it still won't open, try unlocking all doors, then opening and closing the liftgate manually from the inside (instructions available in the online owner's manual).2009 CX-9 with manual rear hatch. I can't get the rear hatch open using the exterior handle. It feels like the exterior hatch handle is stuck, as there is no movement in or out. I removed the interior inspection panel & can open the hatch that way. Electric lock motor operates when I press the remote. The backup camera that I have is a strip and must be mounted to the license plate holes, so I routed the wire through the hole underneath the plastic cover for the light right above the plate. .
